We are seeking a skilled FIS Profile Developer to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Term Lending System, a critical servicing system and book of record for our mortgage business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain FIS Profile code to support our business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Business partners, Architects, and other team members to design and implement new projects and features
  • Troubleshoot system issues, identifying root causes and implementing fixes
  • Lead development teams and work with Project managers, Scrum masters to deliver high-quality solutions
  • Align technology solutions with business strategies, working closely with key stakeholders
  • Support complex business processes and demonstrate knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of FIS Profile Tool and scripting language
  • Experience with FIS Database – MUMPS and core FIS code through GTM
  • Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX (AIX platform) and SQL
  • Experience with Database connectivity (JDBC, JTDC) and 10+ years of hands-on technical experience in software development
  • Able to work independently and lead teams to deliver results, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Well-rounded knowledge of Agile principles and experience with Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, and ACCP
