Food Store Manager

Bombay Mart is seeking a highly motivated and organized Food Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, assigning duties, and ensuring the smooth operation of our store.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff, including apprentices, stages hands, and design team members.
- Assign sales workers to duties and ensure they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Hire and train new staff members, or arrange for their training.
- Authorize payments by cheque and manage the store's finances.
- Order merchandise and manage inventory levels.
- Establish work schedules and ensure the store is well-staffed at all times.
- Sell merchandise and provide excellent customer service.
- Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints and supply shortages.
- Organize and maintain inventory, and oversee payroll administration.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff.
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Non-smoking work environment.
- Retail business setting.
- Client focus and excellent customer service skills.
- Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff and customers.
- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Organized and reliable with a strong attention to detail.
- Dependability and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Initiative and ability to work independently.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
