About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Extinguisher Equipment Specialist to join our team in Grande Prairie, Alberta. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for performing inspections and maintenance on portable fire extinguishers in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular inspections of portable fire extinguishers and wheeled extinguishers to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Perform six-year break down and hydrostatic testing services on portable fire extinguishers and wheeled extinguishers as required.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels in mobile units and fill all types and sizes of nitrogen cylinders and extinguisher cylinders as needed.
  • Repair or replace equipment that fails inspection or testing, and notify clients of any defects or necessary actions.
  • Create and maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, driving logs, equipment inspections, daily invoices, timesheets, flow tests, and Building Reports inspections.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A professional and courteous demeanor is essential for this role.
  • Excellent organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • The ability to read, write, and speak fluent English is required.
  • Familiarity with first aid and H2S procedures is also essential.
  • Certification of training through a recognized training institute is necessary.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license is required for travel to client locations.
