We are seeking an experienced Procurement Strategist to join our team at Synergy Systems. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to meet the company's purchasing needs.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position with a salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will work 30-40 hours bi-weekly. The language of work is English.
Responsibilities- Assess requirements of various departments to develop specifications for equipment, materials and supplies to be purchased;
- Negotiate offers from suppliers to ensure best prices and quality;
- Consult with suppliers to establish delivery schedules and monitor progress;
- Hire, train and supervise staff to ensure effective team performance;
- Review quotations and determine contract terms and conditions;
- Determine delivery schedules and establish communication protocols with clients and suppliers;
- Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems and ensure smooth operations;
- Plan, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization to ensure efficient use of resources;
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders;
- College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years;
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field;
- Strong organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Knowledge of procurement principles and practices;
