Job Summary:

Lorpon Labels Inc., a leading manufacturer of custom printed product labels and other types of packaging solutions, is seeking a skilled Digital Press Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating our HP Indigo WS6x00 digital press, ensuring high-quality production and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the HP Indigo WS6x00 digital press, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
  • Maintain the press and surrounding area in a clean and organized condition, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Collaborate with the prepress graphics team and production management to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality output.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in digital press operation and related areas.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in operating digital printing presses, preferably HP Indigo.
  • Demonstrated understanding of graphical prepress and prepress workflows, including Adobe Creative Suite and Esko Software.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform technical adjustments and maintenance on the digital press.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills, with a strong focus on meeting production deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to work on your feet for extended periods and manage work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HP Level 1 course completion with a passing grade for the 6x00 series presses or 20k series presses.
  • Experience in print production and/or related areas, with a strong understanding of color theory and practice.
  • Ability to conduct tests and inspections to evaluate quality and performance.
