Job Description

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Director to lead our team at Windsor Centre of Hope. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic initiatives to achieve our mission and goals.
  • Provide direction and guidance to our management team to ensure effective program delivery and service excellence.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Salvation Army standards and applicable legislation.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including funders, community partners, and staff.
  • Ensure the effective management of our budget and resources to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement plans to enhance program delivery and service excellence.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality services.
  • Ensure the effective management of our facilities and equipment to ensure they are safe and well-maintained.
  • Develop and implement plans to address community challenges and opportunities.
Organizational Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of The Salvation Army's mission, values, and policies.
  • Ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to Salvation Army policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our staff to ensure they are aware of and adhere to Salvation Army policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all staff are aware of and adhere to applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Develop and implement plans to ensure compliance with Salvation Army standards and applicable legislation.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate university degree (e.g. MSW, B.A., B.Sc.).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of prior related experience working with marginalized clientele in a social services setting.
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver's license, own vehicle and insurance, provide a driver's abstract that is satisfactory to The Salvation Army, in its sole discretion, is required.
