At Intact Financial Corporation, we're looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join our growing team. As a key member of our IT organization, you'll play a critical role in shaping the future of our company.

About the Role

We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Solution Architect with a strong background in finance to lead our architecture efforts. Your expertise will be instrumental in defining and maintaining governance and compliance standards and policies, executing architecture processes, and creating, updating, and maintaining architecture models, roadmaps, and strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain governance and compliance standards and policies.
  • Execute architecture processes.
  • Create, update, and maintain architecture models, roadmaps, and strategies.
  • Lead risk and cost analysis, including build vs. buy strategies and recommendations.
  • Lead analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Contribute to the definition and evolution of global IT architecture based on long-term business strategy.
  • Understand, advocate, and promote the architecture vision and value proposition within the IT and business community.
  • Lead and facilitate research and assessment of new approaches and technologies for potential use within the organization.
  • Lead and facilitate the creation and evolution of architecture principles to support decision-making.
  • Consult with project teams to align projects to enterprise architecture.
  • Consult with infrastructure teams to fit infrastructure to architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or engineering, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in information technology.
  • Experience with financial management software, budgeting tools, and financial reporting systems.
  • Experience with data architecture and understanding of database systems and data warehousing.
  • Knowledge of cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a constantly evolving technological environment.
