Salary and Benefits

Job Description

As a Service Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our customers' electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs at varied customer locations, as directed;
  • Conducting on-site electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic troubleshooting to determine equipment malfunctions and establish necessary repairs;
  • Determining customer intentions to purchase repairs and notating actions necessary to sell or complete the repairs;
  • Completing and providing proper electronic documentation utilizing established company digital tools, obtaining customer signatures and acceptance;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A recognized trade qualification as a Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Millwright, or equivalent qualification/experience in terms of skills and knowledge;
  • An Associate's degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology with a related field or equivalent experience;
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the relevant field, depending on provincial legislative requirements and CSA standards;
  • Good computer, written, and verbal communication skills; and
  • Excellent customer interaction skills.
