Sports Director Job Description

New Frontier Soccer Academy Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sports Director to lead our soccer programs and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing programs, providing technical and professional advice, and recruiting professional coaches and athletes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage programs and services to meet the needs of our soccer community
  • Provide technical and professional advice to coaches, athletes, and staff
  • Recruit and manage professional coaches and athletes to ensure the highest level of competition
  • Organize and administer national and provincial programs, including training, coaching, and officiating
  • Manage the daily operations of our sport or recreational organization
  • Prepare budgets and monitor revenues and expenses to ensure financial sustainability
  • Direct fundraising drives to secure resources for our programs
  • Negotiate business contracts with sponsors and partners
Requirements:
  • College or CEGEP education
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment
Work Environment:

The Sports Director will work in a non-smoking environment, both indoors and outdoors, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Overtime may be required, and the successful candidate must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work:

The Sports Director will work 32-40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
