About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Analyst with strong financial accounting and analytical skills to join our growing team in Toronto. In this role, you will have ownership over a portfolio of real estate assets located in Oxford's US group. You will gain a full understanding of their operations and be accountable for a diverse set of activities, including full-cycle accounting and reporting, real estate performance analysis, consolidated regional reporting and analysis, financial planning, and ad-hoc support related to transaction activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports for various US properties, including timely and accurate recording of monthly results obtained from service providers.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis and Operational Support: Prepare and analyze annual operating plans and quarterly reforecasts with our various US teams and asset managers.
  • Process Innovation and Controls: Participate in projects focused on continuous improvement and make recommendations for efficiencies in day-to-day responsibilities.

Requirements

  • University degree in accounting or business administration.
  • Completed or working towards the CPA designation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, real estate management company experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and exposure to JD Edwards and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) is considered an asset.
