We are seeking a qualified Residential Support Worker to join our team at Cypress Hills Ability Centres, Inc.
Work Term
This is a permanent full-time position, working 30 to 40 hours per week. You will be required to work shifts or be on-call as needed.
Work Requirements
You must have a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and be willing to train for the position. You will also be required to have a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance.
Work Setting
You will be working in a group home setting, located in a rural area. This position requires own transportation to and from work.
Certifications and Training
You will be required to have the following certifications:
- Developmental Services Worker (DSW) Training
- First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Food Safety Certificate
Target Audience
You will be working with culturally diverse groups, including elderly, females, males, persons with an intellectual disability, persons with learning disabilities, persons with mental health disabilities, and persons with physical disabilities.
Security and Safety
You will be required to undergo a criminal record check, driver's validity check, driver's license check, and Adult Abuse Registry check.
Transportation and Travel
You will be required to have a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, and be willing to travel as needed.
Personal Suitability
You must have accurate and efficient interpersonal skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. You must also be a team player and organized individual.
