Quality Assurance Role at Maple Leaf Foods

Maple Leaf Foods is a leading consumer-packaged protein company seeking a FSQA Technician to join their team. As a FSQA Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's Quality Assurance Program is implemented and maintained. This includes adopting and incorporating quality methods into your work, inspecting production material for defects, and promoting quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain the company's Quality Assurance Program
  • Adopt and incorporate quality methods into your work
  • Inspect production material for defects and make corrections as needed
  • Report defects to the appropriate supervisor or manager
  • Promote quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization
  • Complete and maintain quality control documentation
  • Ensure all elements of the company Quality System are implemented and maintained
  • Provide training to plant employees to maintain quality awareness
  • Ensure food safety principles and legal requirements are applied effectively

Requirements:
  • Secondary Education
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset
