About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter Assistant to join our team at G & K Finishing and Renovation Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting our carpenters with various tasks, including loading and unloading construction materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and assisting with framing houses and building roofs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites
  • Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required
  • Assist carpenters with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Direct traffic at or near construction sites
  • Provide support to tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Experience an asset, but not required
