Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanic Assistant to join our team at Alpine Building Maintenance. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of various mechanical and electrical equipment, including walk-behind and ride-on scrubbers, burnishers, sweepers, and other floor cleaning equipment.
  • Work closely with our warehouse and procurement teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of equipment and supplies.
  • Lift and move equipment weighing over 51 pounds on an ongoing basis.
  • Operate a forklift and maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a maintenance or equipment operation role.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency, including MS Office and other software applications.
