Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at Finning. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in providing financial insights and analysis to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the gathering of financial information and administer the communication of timelines with multiple financial and operational areas to consolidate data and provide insights.
  • Prepare financial data and summary information for use in management reporting for presentations across the organization; summarize large amounts of data and translate the numbers to tell the story.
  • Prepare management reports, presentations, and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Build customized financial reports to identify key trends, variances, opportunities for continuous improvement, and measure financial results against budget and forecasts.
  • Support the business in financial planning and forecasting through customized reports that facilitate the performance analysis of business targets, identify areas of risk and opportunities in collaboration with the business, and projections.
  • Conduct regular and ad hoc analyses of business performance to assist in decision-making. Manage and/or participate in small projects and provide subject matter expertise.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Accounting/Finance.
  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent finance/accounting designation.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in an analytical role in Finance or Accounting.
  • Relevant experience with financial analysis, financial modelling, profitability analysis, forecasting and budgeting, strategic planning.
