About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Team Lead to join our team at Mattress To Door Corp. in Canada. This is a permanent, full-time position with an estimated salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise Staff: You will be responsible for supervising a team of sales associates, including apprentices, stages hands, and design team members.
  • Assign Sales Workers: You will assign sales workers to duties as needed, ensuring that our customers receive excellent service.
  • Hire and Train: You will hire and train new staff members, or arrange for training to be provided.
  • Order Merchandise: You will order merchandise for the store, ensuring that we always have a wide range of products available.
  • Authorize Returns: You will authorize returns of merchandise, ensuring that our customers are satisfied with their purchases.
  • Establish Work Schedules: You will establish work schedules for the team, ensuring that we are adequately staffed at all times.
  • Sell Merchandise: You will sell merchandise to customers, working closely with the sales team to ensure that everyone receives excellent support.
  • Prepare Reports: You will prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing valuable insights to management.
  • Resolve Issues: You will resolve any issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
Work Setting:

You will work in an urban retail environment, surrounded by a dynamic team of sales associates and designers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Secondary School Diploma: You must have a secondary school diploma (high school graduation certificate).
  • Experience: You must have at least 7 months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Languages: You must be fluent in English, as this is the primary language used in the workplace.
