Job Title: Commercial Solicitor

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Solicitor to join our team at GPAC, a renowned search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States. As a Commercial Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and services in areas including commercial and corporate law, contract law, construction law, wills and estates, conveyancing, and immigration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, wills, estates, and representation agreements, to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Handle residential and commercial conveyancing and financing transactions, providing expert advice on property assessment and insurance.
  • Provide legal advice in areas such as commercial law, contract law, construction law, property assessment, and insurance, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive and accurate guidance.
  • Manage corporate and business law matters, including incorporation, dissolution, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial transactions, to ensure that clients' interests are protected.
  • Oversee the purchase and sale of businesses (assets and shares), providing expert advice on commercial leasing arrangements and immigration matters.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, ensuring that clients receive the most current and accurate advice.
  • Provide exceptional client service, addressing legal issues promptly and efficiently, and collaborating with other legal professionals and support staff to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in law (LLB or JD) from an accredited institution.
  • Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a solicitor with a strong background in insurance.
  • Extensive experience in wills, estates, representation agreements, and conveyancing.
  • Proficient in legal drafting and providing general legal advice in commercial, contract, and construction law.
  • Solid understanding of corporate and business law, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial transactions, and commercial leasing.
  • Experience in immigration law.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
