We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resource Therapist to join our team in Radiation Oncology. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide radiation services and direct patient care, while also acting as a clinical resource to staff in the module.
Key Responsibilities- Provide radiation services and direct patient care in accordance with professional qualifications and standards of practice for radiation therapy.
- Assist the Chief Radiation Therapist/Regional Professional Practice Leader with provision of leadership to assigned staff, promoting team building, mentoring, and coaching.
- Facilitate and support Radiation Therapists to reach resolution/consensus on clinical or procedural issues within the module.
- Participate as a member of the care team, communicating with all team members to provide continuity of care.
- Ensure staffing resources meet operational requirements by monitoring workload levels and daily staffing coverage.
- Promote clinical research activities by participating in and encouraging Radiation Therapists to participate in critical inquiry into radiation therapy practice.
- Completion of a recognized degree program in Radiation Therapy, supplemented with additional education specific to Radiation Therapy.
- One year's experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Five years recent related clinical experience in Radiation Therapy.
- Certification with the Canadian Association for Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
