Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced teacher to join our team as a Preparatory / Primary Teacher (Preparatory to Grade 6). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education and a passion for teaching students in the primary age range.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and improve student outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a relevant subject area
  • Valid certification as a teacher in the jurisdiction where the teacher was trained and the jurisdiction where the teacher last taught
  • Minimum 10 weeks of supervised student teaching placement completed at a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Native proficiency in spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Early childhood education / primary (homeroom) teacher training
  • Prior experience in teaching students in a kindergarten and primary school
