Key Responsibilities:

  • Install electrical equipment for e-house fabrication, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assemble control panels and equipment, utilizing strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex electrical components.
  • Rebuild electro-mechanical equipment, applying knowledge of electrical circuits and engineered drawings to ensure accurate and efficient repairs.
  • Test electrical components, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Maintain, install, commission, and repair medium and high-voltage substation equipment, adhering to safety protocols and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve project goals, sharing knowledge and expertise to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and clients, providing clear and concise updates on project progress.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, applying new knowledge and skills to enhance job performance.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in electrical systems and substation equipment.
  • Electrical technologist or Electrical trade certification (Red Seal Interprovincial).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical circuits and engineered drawings.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License and a willingness to travel to various sites in and around the Atlantic Provinces.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, Project).
  • Bilingualism could be considered an asset.
