Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Information Analyst to join our Operations Analytics & Insights team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our sales and operations teams to understand their business operations and processes, providing valuable insights to support business decisions and solve problems through data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis: Collect, manipulate, and analyze data from various sources using SQL and/or Power BI to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
  2. Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements, translating them into actionable analytics solutions.
  3. Sourcing Data: Identify opportunities to incorporate external data sets into existing data sets, enriching customer value analytics and providing deeper insights into customer behavior, preferences, and trends.
  4. Data Interpretation: Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions, monitoring and analyzing business performance against predefined targets.
  5. Reporting: Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to internal business units.
  6. Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal end-users on Power BI and reporting systems, empowering them to run their own dashboards and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a business discipline (Commerce, Business Administration, Economics).
  • 3-4 years of demonstrated experience as a business analyst using complex data sources in a Financial Services organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to support the business in understanding business needs and translating them into data & information requirements and deliverables.
  • Proficiency and/or experience in SQL and BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment with minimal guidance.
  • Proven ability to take the initiative for self-directed learning and development, and demonstrated willingness to share knowledge with peers.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive work environment by actively participating in team discussions, supporting team members, and sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Exceptional collaborator who fosters open communication and adaptability to enhance overall team performance.
