About This Opportunity

This position is a great opportunity for an experienced educator to take on a leadership role at Northern Lights College. As a Program Leader, you will be responsible for providing expertise and support to students and faculty members in your program area.

Responsibilities
  • Student Orientation: Facilitate annual student orientation sessions to ensure a smooth transition for new students into their programs.
  • Planning and Coordination: Participate in annual planning processes, coordinated by the Associate Dean, to align with departmental goals.
  • Education Council Submissions: Assist fellow faculty members in developing submissions for the Education Council.
  • Course Timetables: Collaborate with colleagues to plan course timetables that meet student needs.
  • Program Reviews: Contribute to program reviews to ensure continuous improvement and quality.
  • Mentorship: Provide potential mentorship to new faculty and sessional instructors to support their growth and development.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A current, regular employment status at Northern Lights College.
  • An educational credential equivalent to the appropriate discipline or program area.
  • Minimum of three years' instructional experience at the post-secondary level in relevant programs.
  • Demonstrable excellence in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrable excellence in team-building and consultative leadership.
About the Position

This is a permanent, full-time position based in Dawson Creek, Fort St John, or online, depending on the needs of the college and associate dean. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
