Make a Meaningful Impact in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Care

As a Nurse Specialized in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (NSWOC) Nurse, you'll play a vital role in providing holistic assessment and management to individuals with ostomies, acute and chronic wounds, and urinary and fecal continence concerns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of clients with wound, ostomy, and/or continence related concerns
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team
  • Provide education and mentorship to build wound, ostomy, and continence knowledge and capacity within SE Health
  • Collaborate with the Wound Ostomy Resource Nurse (WORN) and/or K2P Wound Care Resource Nurses (K2P WCRN) in evaluation and care planning
  • Facilitate the dissemination of wound, ostomy, and continence knowledge
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the interprofessional team to reduce duplication of services, client anxiety, and cost
Requirements:
  • Must have completed the Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence Canada (NSWOCC) WOC-EP program
  • Current and active membership in NSWOC Canada is preferred
  • Must be an RN with current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Flexibility and a commitment to advancing wound, ostomy, and continence care at SE Health is required
