Job Summary:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Technician to join our Resilience team in the Greater Toronto Area. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining environmental treatment systems, supporting remediation projects, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform remedial system O&M/OMM (Operations, Maintenance and Monitoring), installation oversight, troubleshooting, optimization, and monitoring/sampling activities.
  • Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust remedial system machinery and equipment to ensure system is operating optimally.
  • Perform system preventative maintenance procedures, calibrations, and checks.
  • Provide prompt communication to project management teams when equipment is not safe and/or functioning at optimal performance.
  • Oversee subcontractors retained to perform system maintenance and/or repairs, conduct routine preventative maintenance, and system monitoring and sampling.

Requirements:

  • Technical Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in environmental science, engineering, earth sciences, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in maintaining remediation/treatment systems, field sampling, site investigation, and subcontractor management.
  • Valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • C. Tech or C.E.T designation, or eligibility for P.Eng. or P.Geo.

Working Conditions:

This role will require frequent travel to sites within Ontario, with a high level of physical activity and exposure to varying environmental conditions.
