Lead Teacher

At Kids' Stop Children's Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team. This is a permanent position working 35-40 hours per week, requiring a College or CEGEP certificate in Early Childhood Education.

• Work Environment: Our day care centre is located in an urban area and is a non-smoking facility.

This role involves providing high-quality childcare services to infants and toddlers, developing and implementing child-care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development. You will lead activities through stories, songs, and outings, encouraging creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.

• Key Responsibilities:
  • Bathing, diapering, and feeding infants and toddlers
  • Developing and implementing child-care programs
  • Leading activities and promoting learning and development
  • Encouraging creativity and imagination
  • Engaging children in eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Preparing snacks and arranging rooms for lunch and rest periods
  • Observing children for learning or behavioural problems and submitting written reports
  • Discussing progress and problems at staff meetings

We are looking for someone with excellent oral communication skills, who can establish and maintain positive relationships with co-workers and community service providers. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of licensing regulations and be able to plan and maintain a healthy environment for children.

• Certifications: Child Development Supervisor (ECE Level 3), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate
• Salary: $50,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience
