Job Summary

DAYTONA FREIGHT SYSTEMS INC is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to safety regulations and company policies.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics: Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, utilizing GPS and other navigation equipment to optimize routes and delivery times.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring professionalism and a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and a Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Previous experience as a long-haul truck driver is an asset, with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate flexibility, judgment, reliability, and a team player attitude, with a valid passport and willingness to travel cross-border.
Working Conditions

As a Long Haul Truck Driver with DAYTONA FREIGHT SYSTEMS INC, you can expect to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions, long hours, and occasional overnight stays. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and adhere to company safety protocols.
