About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpenter to join our team at Construction Joseph Elie Zahlan groupe élite inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the construction of buildings, structures, and other projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure that construction projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and Install Building Components: Prepare and install building components, such as walls, floors, and roofs, using measuring tools and equipment.
  • Measure and Cut Materials: Measure and cut materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to ensure accurate fit and finish.
  • Build and Install Foundations: Build and install foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and Install Windows and Doors: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a safe and secure building.
  • Supervise and Train Apprentices: Supervise and train apprentices to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a Safe Work Environment: Maintain a safe work environment by following safety protocols and procedures, and by reporting any hazards or incidents to management.
Requirements
  • Carpenter Trade Certification: Possess a Carpenter Trade Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Training: Have completed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate: Possess an Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate: Possess a First Aid Certificate.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: Possess a valid driver's licence.
