Job Title: Director of Change Management

George Brown College is seeking a highly skilled Director of Change Management to lead key initiatives that foster adaptability, engagement, and alignment with the college's values and enabling strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide senior leadership with guidance to foster a diverse and inclusive change-oriented culture.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive change management strategies, frameworks, and processes that align with the college's strategic direction, long-term goals, and commitment to equity and inclusion.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of change programs, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities.
  • Manage stakeholder analysis, training programs, communication plans, and resistance management efforts, ensuring all processes are designed with cultural competency and inclusivity in mind.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and minimizing resistance.
  • Lead and develop a team of change management professionals.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Specialized training in change leadership models (e.g., PROSCI, ADKAR) and adult education.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in change management within a large, complex organization, preferably in higher education.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale transformation initiatives and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing and implementing change management frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of equity, diversity, inclusion, and indigenization (EDII) principles in change management.
  • Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Broad leadership skills managing a diverse team of experienced individuals fostering collaboration and achieving strategic objectives.
  • Extensive experience with change management methodologies such as PROSCI and ADKAR, with a focus on ensuring that all voices are heard and represented throughout the change process.
  • Skilled in negotiation, facilitation, and influencing a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring decisions reflect the diverse needs and perspectives of the college community.
  • Ability to develop and execute communication and engagement strategies that are accessible, inclusive, and culturally sensitive, ensuring equitable participation and support across all groups.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and deep cultural competency, allowing for empathetic leadership in diverse settings, and fostering a sense of belonging for all individuals.
