Hardware Design Reliability Engineer

North York, Ontario
Position SummaryAs a key member of the Engineering team at Aversan, the Hardware Design Reliability Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability of our hardware products. This involves monitoring the reliability of our hardware systems in the field, maintaining a record of hardware returns, and conducting root cause analyses of failed hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and analyze hardware reliability data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Maintain a database of hardware returns and their corresponding failure modes
  • Lead the Failure Review Board to discuss and resolve hardware reliability issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement reliability improvement plans
  • Conduct thorough root cause analyses of failed hardware to identify and address underlying issues
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in electronics design and troubleshooting
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including power circuits, analog and digital electronics, and telecommunications
  • Proficiency in CAD systems, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers
