Job Summary

Golderado Contracting Corp is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining heavy equipment, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment, including excavators, dozers, graders, rock trucks, and packers.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Pre-Operational Checks: Conduct thorough pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Communication: Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment to stay in touch with team members and management.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve problems quickly and efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring project deadlines are met.
Requirements
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment operator is required.
  • Certifications: CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, or SCOT, and Ground Disturbance Level 2 are required.
  • Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
  • Language Skills: Proficient English language skills are required.
  • Transportation: A reliable means of transportation is required.
  • Driver's Abstract: A driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be required to work 10-12 hour shifts on a 14/7 rotation, including nights as needed.
