About the Role:

Feliza African Grocery and Beauty Store Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our store, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Dust furniture and fixtures to prevent dust buildup and maintain a clean appearance
  • Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture to maintain a clean and tidy environment
  • Clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances to maintain a clean and hygienic environment
  • Provide basic information to customers and address any complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Pick up debris and empty trash containers to maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties as required
  • Clean changing rooms and showers to maintain a clean and hygienic environment

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
  • Physically demanding with bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Overtime required as needed

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience

Language: English

Hours: 30 hours per week
