Job Summary

The Yorke Inn is seeking a skilled and friendly Front Desk Hotel Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests and assign rooms, ensuring a seamless check-in process.
  • Reservations Management: Process group arrivals and departures, take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed.
  • Information Provision: Provide guests with information on hotel facilities and services, as well as points of interest in the area.
  • Departure Processing: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and provide general assistance to guests and colleagues.
  • Special Needs Assistance: Assist guests with special needs, ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
  • Wake-Up Calls: Contact guests to deliver requested wake-up calls and provide general information about hotel services.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
