We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Property Adjuster to join our team at Definity Financial Corporation. The successful candidate will have experience handling commercial and personal property claims, with a focus on large and complex losses.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and evaluate commercial and personal property claims, including large and complex losses.
  • Confirm policy coverage and ensure that claims meet the requirements of our policies.
  • Maintain detailed records of all claims activities, including correspondence, meetings, and investigations.
  • Liaise with internal teams, such as SIU and SDQP, to ensure effective resolution of claims.
  • Communicate with claimants, agents, and brokers to provide updates and resolve issues.
  • Identify and pursue subrogation and salvage opportunities to maximize recoveries.
  • Train junior adjusters and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years' experience handling commercial and personal property claims, with a focus on large and complex losses.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and commitment to excellence.
