**Job Summary**

This is a full-time role for a Senior Legal Counsel at MerGen Law, with flexibility for some remote work.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of legal matters, specifically Adult Guardianship & Trusteeship, Estate Planning, Estate Administration/Probate and/or Corporate and Commercial matters, specifically related to acquisitions or sales of privately held companies in Alberta.

• Conduct legal research using various resources

• Draft and review legal documents

• Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients' interests

• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation using practice management (Clio) and document management (NetDocuments) software

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and research skills

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team

• Active Alberta Bar membership

• Attention to detail and time management skills

• Skills and experience in business development and networking
