Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Coordinator to join our team at Jamieson Wellness Inc. as a Regulatory Compliance Specialist. This is a contract role until April 2025.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the qualified person responsible for assuring the quality of the finished product is suitable before it is made available for sale.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and report on quality deviations related to bulks, finished products, and GMP matters.
  • Develop and maintain quality supporting systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Review and verify Certificates of Analysis and Certificates of Manufacture.
  • Participate in Change Control Processes and report on quality process deviations.
  • Provide assistance to other departments in quality-related questions.
  • Collaborate in the preparation of Annual Product Reviews Reports.
  • Review manufacturing and packaging work orders for both internally manufactured, subcontract-manufactured, and purchased bulks or products.
  • Perform in-process checks for manufacturing and packaging operations on a routine basis.
  • Monitor temperature and humidity records for all locations in Jamieson Laboratories Facilities.
  • Control and maintain temperature and humidity devices.
  • Responsible for the verification and disposition of returns.
  • Perform routine verification of in-process testing equipment.
  • Maintain calibration logs and take appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Participate in CAPA processes.
  • Responsible for preparing reports and letters regarding consumer complaints.
  • Responsible for the governance of GMP documents.
  • Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices as established in Jamieson Laboratories policies and documents, and as required by the applicable guidelines.
  • Work in compliance with the company's Health & Safety Policies/SOPs.
Qualifications and Behavioral Requirements
  • Minimum of a Technical Diploma in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or an appropriate Life Science from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum two (2) years of practical experience.
  • Moderate knowledge of manufacturing operations and GMP.
  • Moderate knowledge of pharmaceutical, food, and natural health product regulations in Canada.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office software.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and guidance.
