Job Description

This Senior Architect - BI Platforms role plays a critical part in our journey to become a world-class data insights driven organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, analytics, and cloud technologies, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the technical strategy for our Business Intelligence (BI) and visualization toolset
  • Ensure the availability and performance of our BI platforms and tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Oversee the overall management of systems, including installation, configuration, connectivity, patching, compliance, and automation opportunities
  • Provide guidance to offshore teams supporting our BI platforms and assist business teams with their dashboard development efforts
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business partners to identify opportunities for process improvements, user empowerment, and innovative solutions
  • Engage our BI Platform user communities to foster knowledge sharing, innovation, and user-driven problem resolution
  • Drive the migration of our BI platforms to cloud-based solutions (e.g. Tableau Cloud) and support business teams through this transition
  • Develop and maintain exceptional relationships with peer groups across IT and business teams
  • Identify opportunities for automation and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) to reduce manual effort and increase efficiency
  • Implement best-in-class cloud solutions for BI, leveraging our existing partnerships with vendors and our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data platform

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Strong background in data engineering, analytics, and cloud technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Diverse databases experience, including Oracle, SQL Server, BigQuery, and Web data connector
  • Experience with Version Control Systems (e.g. GitHub), and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform) tools
  • Strong understanding of metrics, monitoring, and alerting for system reliability and content governance
  • Good understanding of DevOps & DataOps principles and tools
  • Candidates must have a passion for innovation, a desire to learn, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results
