CMiC is a software Development firm specializing in enterprise financial and cost management systems designed for the Construction and Engineering industries.

We are seeking an experienced Database Systems Architect to join our team on an evening shift. As a key member of our database team, you will be responsible for deploying, developing, enhancing, supporting, and maintaining databases within our Enterprise application.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, develop, enhance, support, and maintain databases within our Enterprise application
  • Develop and improve database standards to ensure CMiC meets its overall SLAs for optimal maintenance and consistency across applications
  • Research technical problems, analyze business requirements, evaluate alternative design approaches, and design technical processes to meet business requirements
  • Participate in project and team meetings, collaborating with team members and other departments as necessary
  • Estimate and document required work effort to develop, test, and implement new technical processes/changes
  • Create technical documentation of implementation activities for management and other team members
  • Test and debug program units in conjunction with other units and/or systems and integrate with other program modules and systems
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to other team members to foster professional development
  • Collaborate with other management members for guidance, support, and reporting
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • A college or university degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Software Engineering, Math/Physics (Computer Sc. stream), or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle DBA, systems analysis, programming, or a comparable role within a software company with proven problem-solving skills
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience
  • Morning or evening shift experience is mandatory
  • Experience with web-based client applications and enterprise deployment strategies (load balancing and high availability installs)
  • Prior hands-on technical working experience with the following technologies: Oracle Application Weblogic Server 11g/12c, Oracle Identity 10g/11g/12c, Oracle Access Manager 12c, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Database 11g/12c/18c, J2EE Programs, RAC, DataGuard, and design and analysis methodology and application development processes from both a Business and IT perspective
