About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Coca-Cola Canada. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for executing the purchasing of operational supplies and maintenance parts for our factory. You will also be responsible for monitoring and replenishing maintenance parts inventory levels as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management - Track and maintain accurate inventory levels of maintenance parts and operational supplies, ensuring that our SAP database is up-to-date.
  • Stock Optimization - Regularly analyze inventory targets for maintenance parts and operational supplies to optimize stock levels. Considerations for setting stock levels include part availability, part cost, operational importance, usage quantity, lead times, and historical usage.
  • Reporting - Utilize our enterprise software and SAP system to track and report on unpaid expenses for maintenance parts and operational supplies; collaborate with maintenance and production managers to adjust end-of-month adjustments; track and report on performance metrics, including monthly stock levels, purchasing activity, production and material control (PMC) accuracy.
  • Warehouse Organization - Organize high-stock warehouses in a logical and efficient manner.
  • Communication - Communicate with hourly maintenance employees and most department managers to coordinate factory purchases.
  • Vendor Liaison - Act as local contact for most factory vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • At least one year of relevant professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing factory setting. Familiarity with equipment is required.
  • Vendor services knowledge required.
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, and PMC software. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
