About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Claims Data Analyst to join our team at Seaspan Ferries Corporation. This is a full-time position based in North Vancouver, with a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payment, overtime, and premium pay claims for Labour costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Collective Agreement requirements.
  • Allocate account codes for Labour costs to the correct vessel or Revenue Centre accounts, entering data into our computerized payroll system.
  • Respond to employee enquiries regarding claims that affect payment of wages, providing clear explanations and solutions.
  • Enter training and conference hours, as well as assist in entering overtime in the system.
  • Conduct cost analysis for the engineering and port captain departments, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Analyze overtime reports, time utilization, and wage costs, providing insights for management decisions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced level computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and database software.
  • Experience with JD Edwards is an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, maintaining a steady pace in processing a large volume of overtime claims.
  • Excellent customer service orientation, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
