About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Designer to join our team at DIGI Technologies International Inc. as a key member of our creative department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a Team of Designers: Supervise and guide a team of graphic designers and graphic arts technicians to ensure the delivery of high-quality visual communications.
  • Estimate and Plan Projects: Estimate the time required to complete graphic designs and illustrations, and plan projects accordingly to meet client expectations.
  • Develop Storyboards: Assist in developing storyboards for electronic productions, including multimedia, interactive, and digital products, as well as television advertising and productions.
  • Consult with Clients: Consult with clients to determine the nature and content of illustrations to meet their communications needs.
  • Design and Produce Illustrations: Develop and produce realistic or representational sketches and final illustrations, as well as 2-D and 3-D animated drawings or computer illustrations.
  • Coordinate Production: Coordinate all aspects of production for print, audio-visual, or electronic materials, including sub-contracting and co-ordinating with clients.
  • Establish Visual Identity: Consult with clients to establish the overall look, graphic elements, and content of communications materials.
  • Determine Visual Effect: Determine the medium best suited to produce the desired visual effect and the most appropriate vehicle for communication.
  • Develop Graphic Elements: Develop the graphic elements that meet the clients' objectives, including establishing guidelines for illustrators or photographers.
  • Prepare Visual Materials: Prepare sketches, layouts, and graphic elements, and use existing photo and illustration banks and typography guides.
About You
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field.
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Unity3D, Adobe Freehand, Corel Draw, Linux, Adobe Suite, MS Office, WordPress, MS Windows, and Python.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colors, sitting, large workload, and tight deadlines.
