Your Opportunity at SECURE Energy

We are seeking a casual transfer station attendant to work at our Pink Mountain, Goodlow, and Rose Prairie domestic garbage transfer sites. In this role, you will provide customer service to individuals dropping off garbage and recycling. The ideal candidate will be available for vacation coverage and weekends as needed.

A Day in the Life

The responsibilities of this role include:

• Providing excellent customer service to customers
• Opening and closing access gates at the transfer station
• Conducting routine inspections of perimeter fences
• Disposing of unauthorized materials
• Directing traffic flow at the transfer stations
• Supervising waste placement and compactor systems
• Removing non-compliant materials from deposited loads
• Preventing scavenging of waste and recyclable materials
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the transfer station and surrounding areas

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

• 1-2 years of general laborer experience
• Competence in completing daily documents
• A good understanding of regional occupational health and safety requirements
• A strong work ethic and ability to work in challenging weather conditions
