Job Title: Batcher/Mixer

Adecco Canada is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Batcher/Mixer to join our client's production team in Belleville, ON.

Job Summary:

The Batcher/Mixer is responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients according to specific formulas and ensuring that production standards are met in terms of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weigh, measure, and mix raw materials according to precise production formulas and recipes.
  • Operate and monitor batching and mixing equipment to ensure consistency and quality of products.
  • Ensure all ingredients are accurately prepared and added in the correct sequence and amounts.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and food safety guidelines (HACCP, GMP).
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the batching process to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of batching/mixing area and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Record and track batch information, ingredient usage, and production data as required.
  • Work closely with the production team to meet daily production schedules and targets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve basic issues with equipment and report any mechanical or quality problems.
  • Adhere to safety procedures, including the proper handling of chemicals and raw materials.
  • Assist with other production tasks as needed to support the team.
Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in food processing is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a batcher, mixer, or similar role in a food/beverage manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, such as HACCP, GMP, and sanitation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to operate and troubleshoot equipment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy ingredients (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in varying conditions (heat, cold, humidity).
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime when required.
