Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Material Handler to join our team at Ikon Mushroom Ltd. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week in an urban area with regular exposure to the outdoors, dusty conditions, and potential wet/damp environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment, operating various equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products, picking orders and stocking, weighing materials and goods, wrapping goods, packing and unpacking goods, and organizing and maintaining inventory.

This role requires individuals who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, and demonstrate physical capabilities such as bending, crouching, and kneeling. Additionally, they must possess excellent hand-eye coordination and weight-handling skills up to 23 kg (50 lbs).

A strong positive attitude, hardworking nature, time management skills, and dependability are essential qualities required for this position. The ideal candidate will also participate in on-the-job training, mentorship programs, and diversity and cross-cultural training initiatives to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers, refugees, Indigenous people, and visible minorities.
