About the Job

This position involves coordinating access and use of computer networks, installing web server hardware and software, maintaining, troubleshooting and administering LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate access and use of computer networks
  • Install web server hardware and software
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Monitor performance of computer systems and networks
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down and maintain control records
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines, and repetitive tasks. Attention to detail and sitting for long periods are essential.
