About the Role

As a Managing Optician at Oscar Wylee Pty, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail arm. You will work closely with our Optometrists to deliver outstanding patient care and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting pre-testing activities
  • Assisting with submitting third-party benefit claims
  • Remaking, adjusting, and repairing frames
  • Following up on outstanding customer orders

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A relevant provincial optician license or certification from a nationally recognized opticianry college
  • 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Store Manager or higher retail management position
  • Demonstrated experience working with budgets and scheduling staff in compliance with local labor laws
  • The ability to effectively communicate with customers through the frame selection process
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • An adaptable and flexible approach to work
