About the TeamThe Mental Health Substance Use Inpatient Units at Vancouver General Hospital are dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs. Our team is committed to delivering compassionate and evidence-based care, and we are looking for a talented Nursing Educator to join us in achieving our goals.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff on various topics related to mental health and substance use.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to nurses to improve their knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement best practices in patient care.
- Conduct training sessions on a variety of topics, including CPR, medication administration, and de-escalation techniques.
The salary for this position is CAD $49.20/Hr - CAD $63.47/Hr, based on the location and industry standards.
Requirements- Certificate or Diploma in Nursing Education or related field.
- Three (3) years' recent, related nursing experience in an acute psychiatric environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in adult education principles and practice.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
