Localization QA Tester in Russian
Amber is seeking a skilled Russian Localization QA Tester to join our team in Montreal. As a Localization QA Tester, you will be responsible for testing games to identify linguistic, visual, and cultural issues in the localized text. Your mission will be to test video game titles, verify all text, images, and voice-over components in Russian, and report errors in a bug-tracking database. You will need to have native-level language competency in Russian, proof of eligibility to work in Canada, and experience using mobile, PC, and console devices. Your skills should include attention to detail, proficiency in English, and a passion for video games. Our offer includes a starting salary of 17 CAD/hour, a fun and dynamic work environment, and the opportunity to work with a talented team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Testing video game titles and verifying all text, images, and voice-over components in Russian
  • Finding translation, contextual, cultural, and other linguistic errors in video game titles
  • Reporting errors in a bug-tracking database and/or translation document
  • Providing resolutions for errors reported to improve the linguistic and translated content
  • Following and respecting terminology guidelines
  • Cross-checking issues between different languages with your team
  • Reporting to and following instructions from the Test Lead
Requirements:
  • Native-level language competency in Russian
  • Proof of existing eligibility to work in Canada
  • Experience using mobile, PC, and console devices and knowledge of their terminology
  • Passion for video games
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Professional competency in English
