Job Title: Construction Labourer

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at HI-RISE CARPENTRY LIMITED. As a Construction Labourer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from construction sites.
  • Operate Heavy Equipment: Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials.
  • Perform Pre-Operational Inspection: Conduct pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Read Blueprints: Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Erect and Dismantle Forms and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Instruct Apprentices: Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices as needed.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials for reuse or disposal.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work on equipment and tools.
  • Clean Up Chemical Spills: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants as required.
  • Remove Rubble and Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
  • Tend or Feed Machines: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
