As a key member of our team at Miller Thomson, you will play a vital role in supporting our business operations. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Vaughan or Toronto office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements for assigned departments and offices, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Create various month-end financial, statistical, and ad-hoc reports to provide valuable insights for business decision-making.
  • Perform thorough review and analysis of assigned accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support the annual budgeting process and provide financial guidance to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and provide necessary financial information.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve financial processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Accounting diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in a similar position.
  • Accounting designation (CPA, CGA, CA, etc.) is an asset.
  • Proven success in working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, intermediate Excel skills.
  • Close attention to detail and ability to quickly identify problems and provide solutions.
  • Experience with accounting software.
