Frostbite is EA's proprietary game engine that comes equipped with tons of tools and technologies designed to build incredible games. Our in-house engine offers the unique ability to adapt to each game while working hand-in-hand to prioritize what to build. What We Do

Join a versatile team driving innovation in Audio and Movie technologies within Frostbite. Reporting to the Engineering Manager of Frostbite Audio and Movie, you will work with domain experts that are passionate about developing the very best audio and movie tools and runtime technologies within the games industry. You will help develop a broad range of features and capabilities, including DSP plugins, interactive music, sound effects, speech systems, content encoding/decoding, video compression and more.

Responsibilities
  • We develop industry-leading audio and movie solutions.
  • We help support our community of content creators and collaborate with game teams to provide optimized audio systems, solving complex audio challenges.
  • You will help develop a broad range of features and capabilities, including mixing workflows, sound effect playback systems, DSP, content encoding/decoding, speech systems, interactive music, video compression, and more.
Qualifications
  • High level of proficiency in C++. C# is desirable but not required.
  • Experience developing, testing, and debugging code. Enthusiasm for well-tested, maintainable, and easily readable code.
  • Advanced software development skills such as an understanding of memory management, object-oriented design, multi-core utilization, etc.
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Professional software development experience.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Professional or recreational experience with audio or movie software development (such as audio mixing, sound effects, DSP, interactive music, speech, video compression, image processing, or programming with audio APIs such as Wwise).
  • Experience with Perforce, Confluence, JIRA.
  • Game industry experience, either with a central technology team or with a game studio.
